Project description
The current federal highway B1 will be expanded to 6 lanes between Dortmund-Ost (B 236) and the motorway interchange Dortmund/Unna (A 1/A 44), opening it up to traffic to the A40.
The total length of the 6-lane overall expansion is 9,523 km from construction km 30+830 (junction B 236 Dortmund-Ost) to construction km 40+353 (city boundary Dortmund - Unna).
To the North and South of the B1 running in an East-West direction, there are properties with residential building use, commercial use and agricultural land.
The planned cross section of the later A40 will have a total width of 35.5 m, whereas the B1 will be widened both symmetrically and asymmetrically.
Due to increased requirements for soundproofing, a cover layer with open porous asphalt (OPA) is planned, and the replacement and rebuilding of sound insulation measures.
The commissioned planning services encompass the integration of cover sheets in the design, the execution planning for the route and the preparation of the contract awarding process.
