Project:
ALA ICE 4: Rebuild of ICE factory HH-Langenfelde

The project includes the adjustment of the existing maintenance centre Hamburg Langenfelde for the new generation of trains ICE 4. The measures will be implemented under traffic.

The measure encompasses the whole factory premises of DB Fernverkehr AG in Hamburg Langenfelde, and also includes small adjustments to the neighbouring track systems of DB Netz AG.

The overall project “adjustment of factory ALA for ICE 4“ is divided into subprojects:

Adjustment of outdoor facilities within the factory gates (North and South track run-up and roads and paths)

Adjustment of outdoor facilities outside of the factory gates (North and South track run-up)

Adjustment of the engine shed to handle the ICE 4 (and existing series)

Adjustment of ancillary workshops

New build/addition of an office floor above the ancillary workshops

Demolition and rebuilding of the warehouse

New build of a multi purpose hall for large component replacement and locomotive handling
