Project description

In order to develop the central regions of China, with big cities such as Zhenzhou, the transport network for rail and road transport was extended.

Both for the high speed route Peking-Kanton and the motorway Peking-Shenzhen, and the extension of the shipping lane Yellow River, the bridge over the river was crucially important.

It is a combined bridge for the high speed railway line, and the Zhong-yuan road bridge of Henan Province.

A cable-stayed bridge was built as a steel lattice form work construction, with orthotropic concrete covering slabs and six pylons.

The railway bridge is 14,885 m long (kilometres 642,800 to 657,685).

The length of the road bridge including access ramps is 22.690 m, with a width of 32.5 m for six driving lanes.

The river bridge for rail and road is 9,177 m long.
