Contract awarding management for a district road model in public - private partnership

Vössing was assigned with the technical - economic consultation and implementation of an EU wide contract awarding process, for the district roads 296 and 318.

The services of execution planning, initial building services and maintenance, were awarded to a private construction company, in the form of a functional construction contract.

This meant that, in the scope of the initial building services, the K 296 will be renovated and widened on the existing route (length 13 km). The district road 318 will be rebuilt on a changed route in places (length 9 km).

After completion of the building services, the private partner takes on the maintenance over a period of a total of 25 years, according to the specified quality features.

Equally, the district has the option, of making use of funding in accordance with the demerger act (formerly GVFG).
