Project description
With the expansion of the Frankenschnellweg, an approx. 1.8-km-long, existing inner city motorway section, will be expanded underground, as a four lane city motorway with connection to the city centre.
Planning focuses:
- Tunnel in open construction, mining underpass of a railway embankment (large pipe roof fastening). Standard cross section with 2 carriageways per pipe (width 23 – 30 m)
- Crossing of a mining underground station
two, for the most part underground, multi-storey operations buildings with integrated rain reservoir and pumping stations
- Operating and safety equipment of the tunnel and the operations buildings with pumping stations
- Overall safety concept and risk analyses in accordance with RABT for tunnel operation and transport of hazardous goods
- Site clearance with relocation and securing of various supply lines and sewage channels
- Transport and building phase planning, while maintaining long distance transport and crossing city centre traffic

- Project planning of civil engineering structures (planning variants tunnel "short" and "long"), performance phase 1-4
