Project description

The recommissioning of the route Südkreuz (a) - Blankenfelde (Dresdner Bahn) follows the overall transport concept of the German capital city of Berlin, in the scope of the operational plan with regards to the railway and transit railway system.

The total procedure to rebuild the Dresdner Bahn spans 16.2 km (+approx. 1.2 km new North-East curve in Mahlow), of which approx. 10.7 km in the state of Berlin, and approx. 5.5 km in the state of Brandenburg.

The two track reconstruction of the long distance rail connection between Südkreuz and Blankenfelde requires a new building for the crossing of the Teltow canal.

Before the Teltow Canal, the long distance rail route crosses shore path/walking and cycle route "Maulbronner Ufer" at kilometre 6.7+66.

As a result of a feasibility study, two superstructures arranged one after another are planned for the crossing.

To this end, the area over the Teltow canal will be manufactured with a tied-arch bridge made of steel.

The second superstructure over the shore path/walking and cycle path will be designed using reinforced concrete solid panels.
