Project description
The taxiing bridges are part of the expansion programme of Fraport AG, for the Frankfurt am Main airport.
The new North West landing strip was connected to the apron area of the airport, with taxiways and corresponding bridges.
For this, the taxiways cross the ICE high speed route Cologne – Rhine/Main, the federal motorway BAB A3 and the airport ring with tunnels.
The bridges and/or tunnels are unique in Europe, with regards to their constructive design as jointless frame constructions.
The site management activities contributed to the adherence to the project goals of the client.
