Project description
The High Rhine route between Basel and Constance runs through the Klettgau, via the Swiss region.
To strengthen the route for the operation of the suburban railway Schaffhausen, the route was expanded to two tracks by Deutsche Bahn, to a length of approx. 13 km, electrified and fitted with better passenger entrances.
The track section Erzingen (Baden)-Beringen was expanded to two tracks.
The track section Erzingen (Baden)-Schaffhausen was electrified.
To the East of Schaffhausen, the electronic signal box in Thayngen was rebuilt, on the already electrified track section.
