Project description
Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann GmbH (HKM) in Duisburg, operates its own plant railway with a rail connection to the network of Deutschen Bahn AG.
The outdated marshalling signal box, centre, had to be replaced after reaching the typical lifespan, and the outdoor installations including the cabling had to be replaced.
The general planning services for the rebuilding and dismantling, include the command and signalling technology of the signal box, with 5 decentralised modules and of 4 railway crossing protection systems, the superstructure adaptation, gap closure of 4 points, cable laying, environmental planning as input for the specialist department of HKM, the rebuilding of 5 module buildings, the electrical systems 50 Hz for the command and signalling technology, the point heating systems (50 points), the fire and break in alarm systems for the CST areas (module and signal box).
