Project description
In the course of the second economic stimulus package by the Federal Government, from 2009 – 2011, the states and communities were provided with federal funding, amongst other things for the renovation of educational establishments. Energy saving measures were planned to reduce the CO2 emissions, and increase energy efficiency, including the use of renewable energies.
The town of Mülheim an der Ruhr received approx. €11 mil. from the economic stimulus package II, for the investment focus of education.
Vössing was assigned with project management, to implement 8 educational measures, with a total amount of €4.1 mil.
The individual projects included eligible renovation measures regarding the improvement of energy efficiency, including window and façade renovation, roof renovation and roof and/or attic insulation, replacement of heating systems and installation of thermostat valves, and the implementation of energy measures in the area of technical building services.
