Project description
In the scope of redesigning the Middle Ring, the regional capital of Munich will tunnel under the section from the connection of the A 96 via Luise-Kiesselbach-Platz with the connection of the A 95, and Heckenstallerstraße to Passauer Straße.
With a total length of approx. 3 km, the tunnel is one of the largest urban building measures.
Traffic must be maintained during the whole building period.
Five main traffic phases and approx. 30 interim building phases are planned, which will mean numerous traffic assignments.
In order to achieve freedom to build in all areas, the existing street lighting and traffic light systems must be temporarily moved several times, and brought to the planned final state at a later date.
During the building period, approx. 4,000 m³ cable trenches will be produced, 80 km cable and pipes laid, approx. 1,000 masts erected, implemented or dismantled.
Seven temporary traffic light systems must be planned and installed.
