Service period:
2013
–
2014
Project client:
PLK S.A.
Project description
The electrified railway line no. 7 is mostly double track for the whole route, whereby its technical state and geometrical conditions were not sufficient.
Furthermore, there were also single track sections, which caused bottlenecks.
In the course of the assignment, the technical railway infrastructure was prepared for the predicted quantities of passenger and goods transport, as well as speeds of up to 160 km/h for passenger trains and 120 km/h for goods trains.
This also included the adjustment of modernised and converted engineering structures in the course of the railway line.
The main task was improving the effectiveness of the command and signalling technology, and the security of at-grade railway crossings.
An improvement in safety also occurred due to the new build of railway overpasses.
The project included: 3 railway overpasses, 13 engineering structures, 3 train stations and 6 stops, 10 railway crossings, service roads
