Project:
Motorway section Karlsruhe - Stuttgart – Nuremberg – Leipzig/Dresden (Saxony magistral) PA Altenburg (a) – Paditz (e)

Due to the dated and very poor condition of the installation on route 6362 in the section Altenburg (a) - Paditz (e), the track replacement with civil engineering and subgrade protection layer, replacement of the overhead contact line systems and the replacement of 5 railway overpasses had to be planned and executed as a complex measure at short notice, due to the structural, temporal and construction operations technology dependencies, for both track sections.

Furthermore, a trough structure was planned in the area of the former Altenburg tunnel, a flyover and several supporting structures.

The project phase Altenburg (a) - Paditz (e) is part of the overall measure motorway section Karlsruhe - Stuttgart - Nuremberg - Leipzig/Dresden.

The planned designed speed is 160 km/h.
