Project description

In the course of the new line Ebensfeld – Erfurt, the planned two track route crosses the Oelzetal to the east of the municipality of Altenfeld at approx. 71 metres altitude.

The services to be carried out include the new build of the valley arched bridge necessary for this. The Oelzetal bridge spans the valley with an arch 165 m wide.

The overpass of the 370 m long valley bridge, was developed as a prestressed concrete continuous girder, with a one cell box girder cross section.

The support widths of the bridge fields are 30, 35 and/or 40 metres in the boundary fields, and 23.57 in the arch area.

The arch was manufactured in cantilever construction with auxiliary support. The overpass was inserted using an incremental launching facility.

For access to the building site, forest roads were built and/or extended.

The earth masses incurred in the course of the construction measures were stored at the earth disposal site in Reischeltal.
