New planning of coordinated signal control in the course of the Western ring road (e-wave) in Ingolstadt

On the basis of an evaluation of the signal controller, particularly under the influence of accident statistics, it became necessary to adjust the signal programme structures to individual signal controllers, in the affected street.

In accordance with various traffic ratios in the city transport network, particularly the integration of Neuburger Straße into the Western bypass, and the new signal programme structures, the green wave was replanned, via nine traffic light systems in several programmes and variants.

The function of the local public transport acceleration had to be fully maintained while doing so.
