Project description
Terminal 3 forms the structural expansion in the southern area of the airport and consists of approximately 10 sub-projects and numerous measures in the surrounding area. Once fully developed, it will have a capacity of 25 m passengers per year. A new personal transport system will create a link to the north site of Terminal 1 and 2.
The following uses are planned in the terminal:
- Check-in facilities
- Security, customs and passport controls
- Shops and catering outlets
- Gate and lounge areas
- Baggage check-in facilities
- Car park with 8,500 parking spaces
Key focuses of the project are the
- high technical complexity of carcass, building services and expansion
- integration of additional requirements over years of planning
- extremely comprehensive integration and coordination of the large number of specialist planners
- integration of the baggage conveying technology (20 km conveying route in four sub-projects)
