Project description

On the premises of the main sewage treatment plant Stuttgart- Mühlhausen, three digestion towers from the 60s were replaced by new digestion towers.

To operate the plants, an additional operating and machinery building was built, with integrated combined heat and power plant.

In the course of these construction measures, the road network within the sewage treatment plant was expanded to integrate the new plants.

Apart from the planning and implementation of the access roads, suitable fire brigade access installation areas had to be identified, and the drainage of the new transport areas had to be ensured.

Due to the construction on existing buildings, particular attention was paid to the other sewage plant infrastructure, particularly the intersecting, accessible pipe ducts.

These lie just below ground level, and had to be considered both in the road structures and the drainage planning.

The existing street sewers had to be culverted.
