Project description

In the course of rebuilding the Wehrhahn line in the city centre of Düsseldorf, the underground station Heinrich-Heine-Allee was extended.

To this end, a train station with a central platform was built under the foundations of the Kaufhof an der Kö.

In the execution planning, particular attention had to be paid to the historical building of the Kaufhof, which has been converted several times, with landmarked façade.

In addition, a connection had to be created to the underground station Heinrich-Heine-Allee, which was built decades ago.

The start and target excavation pits showed excavation depths up to 25 m, and there was excess water pressure of up to 20 mWS.

The work group assigned with the shell construction made a special suggestion regarding the execution.

Compensation injections combined with the ongoing monitoring of subsidence, via hose wagon system, ensured that no incompatible deformations to the building occurred during the building measure.
