Project client:

Project description
The transshipment station Ulm Nord is on the main route Stuttgart – Ulm (route 4700 km 83,625 – 84,640) on the existing network. The terminal is connected by road, via the junction Ulm West, directly to the federal motorway A 8 and the federal highway B 10. The system was planning-approved for three gantry cranes.
The transshipment station currently consists of just one transshipment module with two gantry crane systems, which were put into operation in 2005. The transshipment station Ulm Nord is working at its maximum capacity with the two gantry cranes. On the basis of further customer queries, the system will be extended with a third gantry crane.
To construct the construction site installation area for the assembly and erection of the 3rd gantry crane, at the same time as the regular operation of the transshipment station, temporary transport facilities must be planned, and crane rail tracks made traversable.
At the same time, signalling, communications and electrical systems will be adjusted.
