Project description
Modern, accessible and customer-friendly passenger railway stations are the fundamental pre-conditions in order to increase the acceptance and use of the regional rail transport on offer.
As a continuation of the modernisation programmes and measures implemented up to now, in the future, rail passengers will be offered an infrastructure at even more passenger rail stations that corresponds to these standards.
As part of this, the railway station Ribnitz-Damgarten West is to be modernised through the application of the BIM methodology.
On the instructions of the Federal State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, accessibility should also be given the appropriate consideration.
In principle, it entails measures in the area of the platforms, improvement and adaptation of entrances, as well as the improvement of platform amenities for passengers, protection from the weather, customer information and customer service.
