Opis projektu
The construction of a third cruise terminal is planned in the port of Hamburg, on the Ellerholz peninsula in Hamburg-Steinwerder. The planned area covers 15 hectares. The terminal is designed for cruise ships, including AIDA Cruises and the Cunard Line (Queen Mary II).
The erection and connection of the terminal area is part of the project. The area incorporates a ring road and parking spaces for around 2400 cars, 30 buses, 35 HGVs and 56 taxis. The plans also include collection and drop-off areas for taxis, cars and buses. The terminal is separated from the public highway by a system of barriers. As well as the barriers, the infrastructure areas incorporate payment machines, signage, plus signs and lighting in line with the StVO (highway code).
The plans also include utilities supply and disposal systems and infrastructure (electricity, gas, water, data) for the operation of the terminal, waste water disposal for the area and connections to the building, plus the lighting systems and equipment for the area. The construction of the quay operation area, planned as an ISPS zone, is also part of the project.
As the area potentially contains warfare materials, the requirements of the bomb disposal service must be taken into consideration during the planning.
