Dynamic parking guidance system for the city of Neumarkt in Upper Palatinate

The city of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate with its 40,000 inhabitants is in the economically prosperous metropolitan region of Nuremberg.

For better management of the parking search traffic, in the five publicly accessible car parks, the existing, until now exclusively static signage systems, were replaced and further supplemented by a modern, dynamic parking guidance system.

This means that drivers receive information about the connected parking facilities, via 50 sign locations.

The current vacant parking spaces of the relevant car parks, are shown dynamically on 23 signs.

In addition, 8 graphic information boards will provide information, as pre-information signposts about the car parks in Neumarkt.

The data transfer between the parking guidance switchboards at the public utilities, and the dynamic displays, is carried out wirelessly via GPRS data transmission.
