Opis projektu

Frankfurt central train station is one of the largest train stations in Europe, and is an important hub for short and long distance transport in the Rhine-Main region.

Since 1986, there has been a conversion ban on the previous signal box Fpf, due to brittleness of the cable in the indoor facilities. Planned track plan changes could therefore not be carried out.

Deutsche Bahn AG therefore decided to replace the command and signalling technology in the conurbation of Frankfurt am Main, and replace the signal box Fpf with a new electronic signal box (ESB).

The main task in the area of project management was the development and implementation of a comprehensive management concept, with which the complex procedure could be carried out on deadline, cost effectively and to a high quality.

The internet based project management information and communication system “pms.voessing.de”, provided everyone involved in the project with secure access to the project information, regardless of time and location.
