Projekt:
Operating and information system (OIS) suburban railway Berlin

The OIS project created the necessary technical requirements to automate the train despatch, passenger information, traffic safety obligation and system monitoring.

The project consisted of three stages, which were carried out jointly by S-Bahn Berlin GmbH, DB Netz AG and DB Station & Service AG.

1. TP ZAT - Introduction of train despatch by the train driver

- Construction of platform equipment

- Equipping all driver’s cabs

- Construction of video management workplaces

- Construction of radio systems

2. TP PIS-S - Creation of a centrally controlled passenger information system

- Fitting 133 stations with LCD display systems

- Fitting all stations with IP public address systems

3. TP ÜS - Setting up a transfer network for data transfer

- Setting up a management system for transfer technology

- Creation of transmission routes to all stations

- Integration of transfer technology
